What’s next ?
The completion of MS Tûranor PlanetSolar’s world tour marks the departure into a new era for PlanetSolar SA. The operating company of MS Tûranor PlanetSolar and organizing body of the world tour will be realigned and continue to be active in advancing and developing solar energy technologies.
In a first phase, the focus will lie on introducing the MS Tûranor PlanetSolar to a new use. At the same time, the existing organization will be further professionalized and expanded to a Do and Think Tank for solar technology, together with the CEO and present project manager Dr. sc. tech. ETH Pascal Goulpié, and the team will be completed.
The know-how and the international network of contacts for the advancement and distribution of solar technologies gained through the construction of the MS Tûranor PlanetSolar and the world tour will be used further. The Do and Think Tank PlanetSolar will focus on concrete, profitable projects that can be commercialized, and in which it can take on a strategic pivotal function in their implementation both in project management and as a bridge-builder between interested project partners. It will also be organizing international conferences, event series and workshops. It is intended to be financially self-supporting in the sense of a social entrepreneurship.
