IN A FEW WORDS

To promote the PlanetSolar project and sustainable development, the first solar-powered circumnavigation of the globe will be preceded by a touring exhibition in the form of the «PlanetSolar village». The village will consist of three spheres, each representing one of the three pillars of sustainable development: Ecology — Economics - Society.

The Village will use only green energies. For example solar panels will be installed on one of the Village's Dome. Specific topics about sustainable development objectives will be addressed. The Itinerant Village will accommodate a large audience and facilitate setting up cultural events, education projects, lectures, interactive exhibitions and films.

Above all, the village allows for:

Providing a permanent platform to let the public take part in the Planet-Solar project in Switzerland and the rest of the world.
Promoting sustainable development, especially from the environmental point of view.
Displaying real solutions and putting across a positive message.
Making ecology popular and showing how absolutely everybody, however modest their means, can play their part in protecting our planet.
