Dear Friends of PlanetSolar,

Here are the first pictures of the boat which is almost finished! After a ceremony, the guests in Kiel today had the opportunity to discover the futuristic lines of the largest solar-powered boat in the world. PlanetSolar has already come to life with the batteries, motors and the cockpit installed.

In order to enable you to feel part of this great step in the project, watch the PlanetSolar minute and allow yourself to be transported in the largest solar-powered boat of all time.

Next stages:

• March or beginning of April, launch of the boat
• April, First time the propellers are used and tests
• 5 to 10 May 2010, First voyages and celebrations in the port of Hamburg
