3rd March 2010 - PlanetSolar at PV EXPO 2010 !
From 3 to 5 March 2010, PlanetSolar will be represented by Raphaël Domjan at the largest Trade Fair on Solar Power in Asia, PV EXPO 2010. This is the third time this Trade Fair has been held. It will welcome more than 570 exhibitors over a week this year.
The 1:30 model of the PlanetSolar boat will be presented at PV EXPO. This will be the first time in Asia.
25th February 2010 - PlanetSolar has been unveiled !
It was a little later than 3 pm when the largest solar-powered boat in the world was unveiled to the press and to the partners of PlanetSolar in the dockyard in Kiel.
At the end of the official ceremony, the lucky people present had the opportunity to inspect the futuristic lines of PlanetSolar.
The PlanetSolar team invites you to click on the multimedia tab in order to relive this historic moment. Here you will also find exclusive photos of the boat taken on the 25th of February in Kiel.
We are already thrilled about the next step in this great adventure. This will be the launch of the boat, planned for April.

December 16, 2009 - PlanetSolar: the boat will be unveiled on 25 February 2010 !
The whole PlanetSolar team is happy to announce the unveiling of the largest solar boat in the world! 25 February 2010 will be the key moment in the history of this adventure.
On the 25th of next February the largest solar boat in the world will leave the shipyard of Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel (Germany). This 30 metre long and 16 metre wide revolutionary catamaran, topped with more than 500m2 of photovoltaic solar panels, will be unveiled to the press and guests during a large official ceremony.
In the days following the inauguration, and as soon as the weather conditions allow, PlanetSolar will be launched and will undergo her first trials in real conditions.

October 19, 2009 - Winners of the first remote-controlled solar boat competition and the draw
Today we know the names of the winners of the competition which took place during the inauguration of the PlanetSolar Village from 3 to 5 September this year.
The winner of the solar boat competition is Jonas Schreyer of Yverdon. With a time of 35 seconds and 67/100th of a second he wins a Candino watch. Well done!
The winners of the draw are:
1st Prize: Mady Stahel wins a Candino watch
2nd Prize: Isabelle Juillerat wins a pair of Polaroid sunglasses
3rd Prize: Alain Lugrin wins an autographed postcard
