24th June 2010 - Raphaël Domjan will be dedicating the PlanetSolar book
On Saturday 26th of June Raphaël Domjan will be dedicating the PlanetSolar book from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Payot bookshop in Yverdon-les-Bains. This book has been written by Roger Jaunin and is published by the "Editions Favre".
2nd June 2010 - Winners of the remote-controlled solar boat competition at the Hafengeburtstag in Hamburg
Today we know the names of the winners of the competition which took place during the Hafengeburtstag from 7 to 9 May this year.
The winner of the solar boat competition is Gregor Schädel of Kritzmow. With a time of 35 seconds and 45/100th of a second he wins a Candino watch. Well done!
The winner of the draw is Felix Wittern of Hamburg and he also wins ā Candino watch.
12th May 2010 - PlanetSolar at the Hafengeburtstag in Hamburg !
At the beginning of May, the largest solar-powered catamaran in the world navigated for the first time off Kiel, thus marking the beginning of the test phase which should last until the end of the summer. At the same time, the entire PlanetSolar was in Hamburg from the 7th to the 9th of May for the Hafengeburtstag. As the guest of honour at the largest port festival in the world, the PlanetSolar project made its debut with the public and set up its Village on the banks of the River Elbe. 200'000 spectators were able to admire the futuristic lines of the largest solar-powered catamaran in the world and find out about the PlanetSolar project philosophy.
The entire PlanetSolar team is also delighted to announce that the PlanetSolar book has been published. The book (in French, German and English) is for sale on the Editions Favre website, http://www.editionsfavre.com.
30th April 2010 - Planetsolar has been now sailing for a few days !
The world's largest solar-powered boat has been sailing for a few days now for the first time off the coast of Kiel. This is the beginning of the first phase of tests that will be conducted until the end of the summer. In parallel, the entire PlanetSolar team is getting ready for the Hafengeburtstag which will take place in Hamburg on 7-9 May. The boat will be leaving its home port for the first time on Tuesday to reach Hamburg for the start of the festivities!

The company DuPont de Nemours is a new official supplier of PlanetSolar.
31st March 2010 - Launch of the boat !
The 31st March 2010 will undoubtedly remain a special day in PlanetSolar history. Today the largest solar-powered catamaran in the world was launched. At 1530 on the dot the boat was gently placed in the Baltic Sea where she will remain for a test period until she is ferried to the Mediterranean.
