Hello everyone !
These news come right from the Mediterranean Sea!
Two days ago, we left the harbour of Santa Ponsa; a wonderful village only a few kilometres away from Palma de Mallorca …
Some time has passed since our last stopover, which was well covered by the media, in Port Adriano where we were welcomed by the vice-president of the Balearic Islands ! This event was followed by a technical problem. Indeed one of the memory card of the on-board computer had to be replaced. This was an opportunity for the new crew member to show himself: a Swiss like it should be, polite, calm, intelligent… the new recruit, Cyril, born in Lausanne, he convinced everybody on board! His work was worthy of the greatest electronics engineers. After waiting for a few days for the new card coming from Germany, he replaced the card following a procedure involving method, listening and thinking … What a relief to hearing him say « It’s all good, let’s try it» and it did work ! After all, this stopover in Santa Ponsa was really pleasant. We had a lot of visits as well as a strong presence in the Balearic media. Here, respecting the environment and using solar energy are highly appreciated : an island has to be clean and protected. This is the message we share, everywhere … respect the nature ! Use clean energies. The sun is very powerful here, everyday… Our main partner , Immosolar, which is based in the Balearic islands, has well understood this point and is now building “solar houses”.
Our navigation is making us fit again. Living at sea is a luxury: no noise, the sea as far as one can see… it is so big! as Nikita would say. Tonight, it will be 2 days already that we are sailing. Half of our journey is completed. The setting is pretty simple, a ship unlike any other, in the middle of nowhere, birds, dolphins! The temperature is 41 degrees, hard to fall asleep! In the meantime, we are scanning the horizon trying to see a cargo ship, a liner and soon an island… In 4 days, we should reach Sardinia, everyone is looking forward to it.
From the whole crew: Nikita, Thomas, Etienne, Cyril and myself, Eric. Have a nice weekend!
